Content in between levels.
I'd love to see a little more flare in the screens in between levels. The screens on Titan where the Boffins have the Gidrah hooked up to a translator were fantastic! The video of the Titan advance on Youtube is also great (my friend wasn't impressed. Then the Gidrah blinked at her and she was sold). I'm in hopes that once the game mechanics are solid that the behind the scenes conflict we see on Titan will be added to earlier planets.

RE: Critique
I fully agree with this. The scene of the Titan hooked up to the translator was an excellent addition that deserves to been fleshed out more in earlier levels. I liked the scene so much I made it my wallpaper. A version of which is on my DA account with the beastiary I created in the general discussion section of this forum. Point being I hope he adds more clips of that caliber to really add polish to the game.
RE: Link
Also forgot to ask. Could you post a link of the Titan Advance youtube video you showed your friend?

Very cool. I hadn't seen that yet. Doesn't show much or any of the game, but sets the mood perfectly. Thanks.
Re: Content in between levels.
I had read somewhere that Cas and his team didn't know how to implement the video into the game at the time. I wonder if they plan on making that a reality. I'm sure they're all beyond pressed over the Steam release.

The best way I could see to implement it would be to just include it in an introductory opening video before the title screen/main menu. Most computer games, in fact most games have a cinematic before the title screen. They just need to introduce an opening cinematic and include that video in it.
I'm sure the Steam release is stressing them out. I would be. Do you know when they plan to have it released on steam?
Re: Content in between levels.
I only know as much as is revealed in the blog updates. I think this cinematic could easily be tied off with a boffin watching a console uttering something such as "they're back!" and used to initiate a new campaign.
